i’m aware of the fact i’ve posted quite a few ryan adams related things these last few months, but i can’t seem to shake his performance a while ago. i keep going over and over it in my mind, something i seldom do. anyways, one of many highlights for me that evening was when he played ‘crossed out name’, from the cardinology album. it’s a track i’ve always thought was just okay, but live and acoustic it blew me away. it’s hard to explain why exactly, it just made me feel so much. you know, when music is so good your heart seems to double up in size and anything seems possible. something like that i guess.
i couldn’t find a decent video for the longest time, but today i finally did. there’s links to the whole breda show, but truth be told, the setlist in brussels was much better.
